The program assists Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries, family members and agencies make informed choices about employment. The Community Work Incentive Coordinators (CWICs) are trained and certified by the Social Security Administration to provide assistance and help individuals understand how work will affect their benefits, including health insurance, housing and more. |

Summary Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a benefit for people who have a low income; SSI is impacted by the amount of money one makes and once a person earns a certain amount, SSI is gradually reduced as work income increases. People who: -have a disability -have a low income -earn below SGA ($1070/month, $1800/month for people who are blind) may be eligible for SSI. |
