Transition Fair Purpose
· The Transition Fair is an opportunity for students and families to connect with community organizations, agencies, and resources to learn more about the transition process.
· Representatives will be available to discuss legal considerations related to transition, vocational development/job preparation programs, community living options, and social/recreational programs.
The Transition Resource Guide was developed 4 years ago as a way to share information about a range of transition resources with students and families. The information on the various webpages connected with transitionresourceguide.weebly.com are a partial list of the numerous community based agencies and organizations that provide vocational, residential, and social support & opportunities to people with disabilities. The intent is to provide a sampling of the resources available in the local area. The public schools of Newton, Wellesley, Needham, and Brookline do not endorse or recommend any product, process, or service.
Thank you to all of our participants that attended and/or provided information for the 2015 Transition Fair! We look forward to seeing you at the 2016 Transition Fair!
